Apr 16, 2018Kenneth Gary Walls, aka “Dubbie-Dub,” was born July 11, 1962, to James Kenneth Walls and Alice Faye Grogan-Walls, who preceded him in death.He was the first born of four boys and received his wings from God to exit this earth on March 18, 2018.He received his education in the Murray Independent School District and graduated in 1980. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he and his brother worked with Premier Bail Bonding Company and attended Dallas Institute of Funeral Services. Gary, as he was most often called, worked as a sub-contractor with his father and brother framing homes in all areas of Dallas. He was indeed a true brother. He always acknowledged and showed his love for his brothers. He never let them leave without saying “I love you, man,” followed with a hug. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many. He later committed to assisting his brother working as a transporter for Professional Mortuary Service of Texas before moving back to Murray. After moving to Murray, he worked various jobs at Pinnacle Construction, Culver’s and Swartz. He later married Tammy Cavitt.Gary is survived by his wife, Tammy Cavitt; brothers, Vincent D. and wife Patricia Walls, Bryant G. and wife Jennette Walls and Heath B. and wife Alisa Walls; sisters, LaTosha Walls and Ashley Walls; sons, Maurice (Laitisha) Modester, Brian Kenneth (Niesha) Modester and Kenneth Gary Walls Jr.; a daughter, Chasity Modester (Brian) Moody; five grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; and special friends of the family, Alfonzo “Al” Duffy and Dellova Wells.The funeral service is at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery.
